“It’s tough and it takes a lot of resilience,” Bedard said. “You get bucked off, that always sucks … it’s fun though, no matter what.”

In her years of competition, Bedard has been all over western Canada, including the Ponoka Stampede.

Each member nation of the association holds their own finals every year, with the top three riders of the year heading to the world championships in Cheyenne. During the 2024–25 season, Bedard finished as the WRBC season champion, holding the most points, but failed to come out on top at the Canadian finals.

Still qualifying for the world championships in Cheyenne at the close of last season, she was bucked off during her second ride, bringing her finals to a close without a buckle.

For the 2025–26 season, Bedard worked on aspects of her mental game, allowing her to remain at or near the top of the leaderboard all year and becoming the season Canadian champion and Canadian finals champion before her trip to Wyoming.

Bedard moved to the Stettler region from Acme in September 2025. She previously attended school in Vermilion and is working as a veterinary technician for a mobile veterinarian in the region when she isn’t on the road.

In addition to ranch bronc riding, Bedard has also barrel raced, pole bended, goat tied, and done cow riding. In her downtime, she is training a horse for breakaway roping and team roping.
