Snow will start falling in Red Deer late this afternoon, with periods of snow continuing Wednesday.
Environment Canada says the city may see two to four cm of snow by Tuesday night.
Winds will gust up to 40 km/h starting in the afternoon, becoming lighter into the evening.
The temperature is forecast to reach of a high of -9 C, but with the windchill it will feel like -23 C this morning, and -14 C this afternoon.
Tonight the temperature should hold steady near -9 C, with a wind chill near -17 C.
On Wednesday, periods of snow will end near noon, but there will continue to be a 30 per cent chance of flurries.
